Soul Paua are a Wellington institution — brothers Jerry and Maurice Banse performing original waiata in te reo Māori, blending soul, folk and rock into something entirely their own. With a debut album ‘Pohewa’ (The Dreamer) that earned an NZ Music Awards nomination, and a legacy that includes performing at Te Papa and the Vancouver Winter Olympics Cultural Olympiad, Soul Paua are a deeply fitting addition to the Matariki Nights programme.
