The Undercurrent presents Anthony Donaldson Does a Talk!
Anthony will try to explain his approach to making music relevant today. Having been a fully committed musician for 50 years he just might succeed. This could be interesting.

2. Keeping Music Relevant A Lifetime in Improvised Music
3. From Primitive Art Group to the Present: Reflections of a Drummer
Anthony Donaldson started playing music in 1976. He studied percussion (snare drum) for five years with one of the percussionists from the NZSO. Within seven years he recorded the first creative jazz album with the Primitive Art Group. By 1986 he had played on six records, all of them on Braille Records, their own label. Two albums followed in the late 80s with the group Six Volts, touring Europe. Then followed playing on the Front Lawn album in 1990. From there on, Anthony has concentrated on creative concepts in jazz. Approximately 40 recordings have followed.
