We’re Good Habits! A joyous and unexpected fusion of folk, jazz and more ft vocals, cello, accordion, synths and drums.
We used to be a folky-duo who began our musical journey when we became stranded in Aotearoa across the pandemic. A few years later, we have a different sound, a new album, and we bring a new line up back over!

Good Habits are a dynamic Indie-folk band with a knack for turning existential musings into bursts of relentless optimism. With vocals, cello, accordion, synths and drums at their core, they carve out a sound that’s virtuosic, cinematic and unapologetically fun – a blend of folk-ish storytelling, groove-driven energy and existential hope with a mischievous, big-hearted stage presence.
Their UK Top 40 Folk charting album ‘Quarter-Life’ won praise from BBC Radio 2, 6 Music, and 5 Live, and glowing reviews describing their sound as “musicianship at its 21st century best” (Tom Robinson, BBC), alongside recent festival appearances at Glastonbury, WOMAD, Cambridge, Green Man, Kendal Calling and many more.
Good Habits thrive on connection. With a new album on the horizon – their first as a trio – Good Habits are stepping boldly into their next chapter: a vibrant, optimistic collision of stories, songs and sheer musical joy.
