This Halloween at BIG FAN, four destructive Auckland bands come together for a night of atmospheric post-metal, grunge, heavy metal and alternative sounds.
The first punch hits at 8 pm with MelonHearts, bringing an atmospheric beauty to set the tone and fog for a night deliberately built around contrast, volume and chaos.
Next up are Sunwraith, a newish Auckland trio band exploring the darker edges of post-metal and progressive rock. Their music combines crushing percussion with contemplative vocals, creating a cinematic sound that feels both expansive and unsettling.
Lacquered Black follow with their ™HIGH ENERGY™ brand of grunge metal, built around huge guitar tones, live-room recording aesthetics and an explosive stage presence. Taking the rawness of '90s grunge and pushing it firmly into heavier territory, expect big riffs and even bigger noise.
Closing out the night are Headlock Grave, bringing the old-school metal influence to the bill with riff-heavy songs, serious volume and a live show centred around energy and getting the crowd moving.
