Zowie will be taking over 4:20 on Auckland’s K’Road performing songs off the Love Demolition album.
Supporting Zowie will the infectiously enthusiastic George FM breakfast host and consummate DJ Nick D. Also performing on the night are fancy new band Spring Break along with other special guests.
Zoe Fleury (a.k.a ZOWIE); a music obsessive, drumming wunderkind and self-proclaimed bionic pixie beamed down from the year 3000, burst into the New Zealand music scene in 2010 with the gold selling hit single Broken Machine.
Zowie's idea was to blend her multifaceted inspirations (Grace Jones, NIN, Gwen Stefani, Gary Numan) into something totally new - music with heart, cheek, balls, and no cheese. I love to mix the dark with the pretty. I mish and mash pop with all sorts of musical flavours”.
