UTR Presents
Following an absence of a staggering 31 years, two iconic New Zealand bands from the early 80s — Penknife Glides and Danse Macabre — return for a one-off show on May 11th at the Kings Arms in Auckland.
Both bands were originally signed to Reaction Records, touring NZ together in 1981 and appearing on the front cover of Rip it Up. Now they are joining forces once more, for an exclusive NZ Music Month 2013 event.
Both Penknife Glides and Danse Macabre will be featuring line-ups that include ex members of the punk bands, Primmers and Spelling Mistakes and guest musicians from Missing Tremble. They’ll be serving up their enigmatic brand of no-nonsense, underground electro pop with a selection of old and new songs that are guaranteed to seriously rock the house.
