Their reputation probably proceedes them, but hey, here goes! Opossom is the current sonic endeavour of ex-Mint Chick Kody Nielson. He released an excellent debut album, Electric Hawaii, last year and it was laden with a combination of spritzy surf pop and and the rambunctiousness that made his former band so inimitable. Singles like Cola Elixir and Blue Meanies - and their accompanying videos - transport you to an alternate world where everything is sepia, golden and everyone is on permanent vacation. And you can see all that live this FRIDAY!
