Auckland based, Mahalia Simpson has recently been to signed to Auckland based independent record label Spin33 and has just released her debut EP. We are very excited to bring you this jaw-droppingly good live act.
Growing up listening to early 2000’s R&B, 80-90’s Hip-hop and Soul, admiring her older (7) siblings taste in music, NZ singer/songwriter, Mahalia Simpson instinctively found her love for Soul and 70’s Jazz music which inspired her to write. In the last 8 months Mahalia Simpson's music career has skyrocketed following her first original song she uploaded to Soundcloud attracting over 36,000 followers. Mahalia has been keeping herself busy performing at some of Auckland's top Music spots not to mention numerous recording sessions collaborating with local up and coming producers.
