The Pirate City Rollers will be kicking off their 2014 travel season with a match against one of the South Island's toughest leagues, the Dunedin Derby Gallow Lasses!
The two sides have never played each other in NZ roller derby history, but that's set to change this March 29th!
The Pirate City Rollers' All Scars took out the competition at last year's National Derby Royale, where Dunedin Derby came a respectable sixth. But with three skaters from their side selected for the Team New Zealand Blood & Thunder Roller Derby World Cup training squad, along with the element of surprise, the Pirates face tough competition in the Gallow Lasses.
