Mooga Fooga is a New Zealand Band formed around its core Rhythm Section; Bassist, Rory Macartney and Drummer, Nick Mabey. Rory and Nick have been working together for over 10 years after first meeting at the former NZSM and have cultivated a distinctive sound that forms the Band.
After being reunited with longtime friend and frontman genius Joel Shadbolt (NSZM) Mooga Fooga was formed in 2011. Currently based in London where they have continued developing their sound with numerous residencies working with players the likes of, Tim Lefebvre (Wayne Krantz, Mark Guiliana), Will Vinson (K) & Jonathan Crayford .
Working around the globe from Australia to New York, Mooga Fooga is a culmination of experiences developed through the tutelage and friendship of musicians such as Matt Penman, Felix Pastorius, Les Paul, Jochen Rueckert & Brian Blade
