King Brothers + The DHDFDs - Summer Family Tour
KING BROTHERS from Nishinomiya, Japan are teaming up with THE DHDFDS from Point Chevalier, Auckland for what will be termed a full-length summer holiday tour -- 7 North Island shows that will make up what will be the Japanese rock and roll (hardcore blues, its been said) bands first New Zealand visit in 6 years.
King Brothers have remained friends with the DHDFDs since their first NZ tour together, when the band stayed at then-teenage singer Scot Browns parents house. The kinship endured in May this year, when both bands toured Japan together and went so far as to release a split CD together and share the same stage at the same.
Luckily for us, these same shenanigans can be expected here at home -- because to reciprocate for these Japanese favours, the DHDFDs are bringing King Brothers to New Zealand in a tour that will doubtlessly carry antics like pipe-clinging, mic-flinging and crowd-standing.
