Recently having one of her sets described by Annie Mac as the best party set i've heard in a long time the wide-eyed, dodo racing, rabbit chasing girl of Lewis Carol’s opium induced fantasies has officially been superseded.

This Alison didn’t fall down anything; she jumped head first down the rabbit hole and landed straight on the decks. Armed with turntables, a killer vibe and an open mind, Alison turns countless dance floors across the globe into your favourite kind of Wonderland: more beats, less croquet.

Beginning with a background in indie and classical, Wonderland’s best card is her eclecticism. Throughout her youth she toured Europe as a principal cellist for the Sydney Youth Orchestra and later played bass in a successful local indie band.

With an insatiable appetite for new music, a night could see her chew through the best of disco, indie, hip hop, house, Baltimore and everything in between. So Grandmaster Flash mixed into The Cure' Run DMC into Adele' Sure, why not – it’s all fair play.

After inking a global deal with EMI, Wonderland released her debut compilation record - Welcome To Wonderland mid 2012, while her much anticipated first original's album is due out very soon! If the success of her remixes is anything to go by the record is set to be a game changer.

Wonderland has performed in LA at the official Grammy's Afterparty, all throughout Ibiza on top of MOS and the Brit Awards Afterparty in London. In Australia she has torn up main stages at Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, Southbound Festival, Stereosonic, Field Day, Parklife (nationally), Good Vibrations Festival, Harbourlife, Sydney Fashion Week, Future Music Festival, Coaster Festival, Secret Garden Festival and more, not to mention her sellout headline national tours.

The end of 2012 saw Wonderland taking the highly prestigious summer festival time slots. Playing main stage at Falls Festival in a headline slot after Hot Chip to a capacity crowd, Supporting PNAU Live at Wonderland Festival in Perth & again destroying the headline time slot after SBTRKT to a heaving tent at Southbound Festival……this all within 1 WEEK!

Alison Wonderland is the party, rumour has it she never sleeps and is reasonably good friends with Oprah.

++ EASTERN BLOC

The fun started when longstanding Wellington club DJ MAREK (POL) met DJ/production talent ARTUR (Beat Mob/UKR) and the two quickly bonded over a mutual appreciation of wodka on the rocks, low-slung southern trap rap, Jersey club, house music and history.

A collective palette of influences spanning Young Thug, Drake, Cashmere Cat, Diplo, & DJ Sliink, led to playing international support slots in New Zealand for Baauer, Flume, Rustie, Danny Brown, Mr Carmack, Lil B, ASAP Ferg, Onra & Lunice amongst many others. DJing together regularly around the capital cemented the bond leading to regular studio sessions resulting in a collection of original tracks, remixes, and re-edits including the well received 'MILK' , local number 1 'CECE BOUNCE', and the latest remix of 'FOUND HER' by local rapper Young Tapz

++ THE NOMAD

a member of a people or tribe who move from place to place;
vagabond;
wanderer;

one who roams…

Roaming the globe cruising the road less travelled, The Nomad makes music that pushes the boundaries and combines a unique blend of reggae, trap, grime, drum & bass and electronica.

For Daimon Schwalger, aka The Nomad, the wandering existence has been all about building strong connections with people and places. He shares the story of his journey through the creation and celebration of independent music. Having spent over two decades behind both the decks and at the controls, Daimon is now the master of his own production studios, The Nomad Music.

With an alluring mix of musical talent, he’s released seven diverse and discerning albums to date. His first album Movement, released in 1998, was the first drum and bass album to come out of New Zealand. It caught the attention of British dance music pioneers Rockers Hi Fi (Different Drummer, UK) which sparked a partnership that nourished subsequent releases. The acclaimed 1999 album Second Selection was awarded the “Best Dub/Hip-hop/Reggae Release” in the B-net New Zealand Music Awards. This laid the foundations for the Nomad’s eclectic, electric musical style. The smash hit ‘141’, featuring Farda P from Rockers Hi Fi then sealed the nomadic deal. From his founding steps on NZ’s dance music scene through to the recent “7” album, The Nomad has hitch-hiked a melodic ride of solid bass grooves and jungle by-ways.
