Accomplished veterans of the Wellington music scene, Uncle Silverback (Gareth Darling) and Captain Fruju (Thomas Friggens) collaborate to present a variation on Leonard Bernstein’s score from West Side Story. This not to be missed concert draws upon the pair’s nuanced musicianship and creativity. Pounding live drums and delicate brass textures are brought together with elements of the original dialogue and Bernstein’s score to create a triumph of technology and tradition.
