Two years after Wellington alt-hip hop/funk band Zillionz released their first single, 'Mile Hi Cub' which charted the on Radio Active Top 11, they are releasing their new single 'Zillion Dollaz'.
It was recorded at the Pyramid Club by Riki Gooch (original drummer for Trinity Roots) and mixed by Ben Lemi (current drummer for Trinity Roots!)
Originally inspired by Sicko Mobb's tune 'Fiesta', 'Zillion Dollaz' is a take on trap's arch capitalistic leanings, but from the opposite angle - analogue instruments and boasting about lack of money.
The release party will be held at Moon 167 Riddiford St Newtown with generous support from Yeastie Boys. Entry is free and special limited edition lyric/art booklets with a download code will be available for $5.
9:30 DJ Oboe will open the night with a set of original obese beats mixed with the purest MIDI wind sounds
