Some info on what to expect...
Formed in New Zealand's capital city in early 2011, Melting Faces have been stretching the fabric of music to fit their own veritable melting pot of influences for over seven years now.
Comprised of Jesse Walsh (guitar), Blair Clarke (sax), Daniel O'brien (bass) and Ben Lovell (drums), they have built a reputation for fun, high-energy live performances across the country.
With their eclectic mix of live instuments, samples and audio effects played through vintage N.Z made amplifiers, Melting Faces have shown that they are able to work outside conventional genre boundaries and bring fresh new ideas to each song with every performance.
Far King Oats is the third track from a recording session in a dusty old mansion in Featherston with Wairarapa based music legend Warren Maxwell. Melting Faces' new single ‘Far King Oats’ is a haunting yet upbeat folk-pop ditty with attitude. A casual glance out the window of the soul by the disenfranchised feeling of a generation.
Melting Faces have been busy lately releasing new music, and playing some of their best shows yet, including their show-stopping set at Newtown Festival, NZ’s biggest street festival.
