Solomon Harper grew up in the central suburbs of Auckland City. Finding he needed to spread his wings Solomon jumped over the Ditch to Australia. Finding his way through the music scene and finding inspiration from bands and singers such as, Kings of Leon, Alabama Shakes, Sticky fingers, Etta James, Just to name a few. After Solomon was snatched up and signed to The A&R Department in Sydney, this soulful singer released his Ep All the things we made featuring his single 'Bones'. Finally, after eight years away Solomon Harper is home celebrating his single release here in New Zealand after a successful release party in Australia this past July.
The night's performances leading up to Solomon’s debut are varied in genres just as Solomon’s inspirations for his music. The Night will open with Mama B one of the newest bands performing that night has only been in the Auckland music scene for a year. Mama B is a bit more than your average cover band they play as a collective and are sure to capture your attention on the night.
Then we have Auckland's very own Royal Falcon this tight as rock band will get you on your feet and ready to dance the night away. After Solomon Harper's performance, the night will end with DJ Tito Tafa playing tunes into the evening, dancing off the buzz you will be left with after the Bands have played.
