To celebrate putting on 20 odd gigs in the first year of Grout Presents we are gonna make the most of an early December date and claim dibs on your first knees up of the holiday season. Come get down with some of the best and maybe we'll practice a collective Auld Lang Syne at the end of the night to warm up for the many end of year parties to come.
Feat. Disasteradio, Voom, Randa, BOZO, Vincent HL, Peach Milk and DJ Deputy Paul.
Flying up from Wellington is the king of the dance party, Disasteradio. Synth pop-py, chip tune-y, disco danc-ey good good vibes. 100% guarantee will make you feel like a better person.
You could call Voom a bit of an enigma, but HO-LY do they know how to write a pop song. One of New Zealand's all-time greats (if you ask this fanboy) and this is an extremely rare opportunity to sing-a-long to every goddamn song.
Randa is purveyor of raps, beats and pop culture references of the finest order. Cranking out party hip-hop vibes and pulling off Dickies like no other.
BOZO have been out of action (and out of NZ) for too long and aren't we lucky to have them back for their first show on home turf. Jangly surf garage straight of a spaghetti western.
Vincent HL is the latest project from Vincent Lum (Hang Loose, The Conjurors) and this will be their first show with full band in tow. Nightmare country with plenty of haunting harmonies.
And just to top it off, 95bFM's DJ Deputy Paul will be spinning vinyl throughout the night and the prodigal producer Peach Milk will be kicking off a traditional dance party to take us into the wee hours.
$10 on the door. 8:30pm til late late late.
