Sydney post punks MERE WOMEN are pleased to announce the ‘Bigger Skies’ tour throughout May and June 2018.
Mere Women will continue to tour in support of their third LP Big Skies (Poison City), which was released to critical acclaim from The Herald Sun and Rolling Stone, and was nominated for Album of the Year at the FBI Radio SMAC Awards.
‘Big Skies’ explores themes of women’s experiences over generations and the simultaneous isolation and confinement felt by many women living in regional communities. The songs are haunting, restless and impeccably composed. A claustrophobic journey through wide open spaces.
The months following the release has the quartet appear alongside Jen Cloher, Gold Class, Tropical Fuck Storm, and support Detroit’s Protomartyr nationally.
The tour includes maiden shows in Perth and across New Zealand, as well as their first headline dates in Melbourne & Sydney this year
