We are positively fizzing to announce that on Tuesday 7th August Morning People launches in Wellington.
Since it’s inception in 2016 Morning People has attracted a cult following and some of New Zealand’s best DJs and acts – including Aroha, Greg Churchill, Dick Johnson, Dan Aux, Sambora (Shapeshifter), and Yoko Zuna.
This August Morning People makes it’s Wellington debut, featuring Morning People co-founder Jamie Newman on DJ duties.
An all-round DIY party-starter, Jamie Newman got his start DJing, promoting and playing parties and festivals in the late 90s. He’s played in forests, at fashion parties, on beaches, on the airwaves, at house parties, and at some of New Zealand’s and the world’s most iconic festivals - including Splore, The Gathering and Nevada’s Burning Man festival.
In 2012 Jamie introduced No Lights No Lycra to New Zealand – curating over 150 hours of music and growing the crazy concept from 10 friends dancing in a hall to over 100 people regularly letting loose in the dark on a Monday night.
In 2016 he co-founded Morning People, now a regular fixture on the dance scene.
Don’t miss this opportunity to wake up and shake it with Morning People’s own Jamie Newman.
NZ’s best DJs, bottomless cups of Altezano Brothers Coffee, ice-cold organic Almighty juices, free fruit, big bass and ridiculous fun, all for $15.
Alcohol and drug free, dress to sweat.
