Hallertau Presents: Henrique Morales Trio – live, Sunday 21 October 1.30pm #MonthofSundays
Originally from the South of Brazil, Henrique Morales' been living in New Zealand since 2007, performing in quite a few venues around Auckland and many festivals all over the country. Former member of the kiwi band Batucada Sound Machine, has recorded their second album - “Don't Keep Silent” (2011) - and between 2008 and 2012 has toured extensively with them in a list of countries such as Spain, Portugal, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Serbia, Belgium, England, Wales, Austria, South Korea, Singapore and Australia.
By the end of last year he has released his first solo album - Alô Brasil - which was only released in Brazil until this moment.
At the moment he's been performing with his new project “Henrique Morales Trio” - a fusion of brazilian, funk, latin and afro-cuban repertoire, with Karl Benton (keys), Lance Bentley (drums) and himself on vocals and bass.
Henrique is also a current member of the Latin Super Group Santiago Soul Stars, a 7 piece Afro-Caribean Latin band.
