Back from several months off stage, Broken Lexicon are bringing their Gypsy Jazz, Folk-Funk aesthetic back to Wellington, with a live show in the warm surrounds of The Third Eye Tuatara's Temple of Taste. Russian born guitar virtuoso Alexey Medvedev conjures his richly percussive, fingerpicking guitar compositions around the powerful melodies and lyrics of Kiwi songwriter and storyteller Brook Davies. Together they fuse a sound that is freshly unique, but with familiar territory to draw you into each song. As a duo they are a dynamic songwriting force; daring each other to keep trying new forms, and always enjoying the process along the way. They love to connect with audiences, and deliver warm and engaging live performances. Prepare to sit back and be absorbed into emotive landscapes. Or let your jaw hit the ground as you witness an acoustic guitar being played like you’ve never seen before.
This concert will be in the upstairs room at Tuatara's Temple of Taste, so contact the venue about accessibility if you are unsure.
