For one night only join Albi & The Wolves, New Zealand's most dynamic alternative acoustic act, for a night of music, dance and laughter on Saturday the 26th October. Chris Dent (The proud albino front man Albi), Pascal Roggen, and Micheal Young use the Acoustic Guitar, Electric Violin, Double Bass and their Voices to create a sound that is somehow soulful and raw at the same time. Their live shows should not be missed.
Following the success of their debut album One Eye Open which won them the Best Folk Artist 2018 Tui at the New Zealand Music Awards the band is excited to announce their second studio album This Is War which they will be touring around New Zealand, Rarotonga, and Australia this year.
“Albi & The Wolves left their audience buzzing with the communal energy that comes with basic and direct folk music played well. I was expecting towards the start of the night to write something involving the word “cliche”, but any last notion of that had dissipated by the end of the set – not because it’s not true, but because it’s not relevant. This is comfort music, steeped in tradition and familiar sonic presets, but still alive, vibrant and satisfying in the moment.” - Radio 13, Ruben Mita.
Tickets are $10 on the door.
