Since 2014 Ben Lemi (Trinity Roots, French for Rabbits) has composed and shaped the material for Dawn Diver, drawing from the depths of waking dreams and the forest whispers of Mt. Victoria’s dizzying heights. Subtly manipulating frameworks of lyrical narratives, groove-based music, song forms, and electronic timbres, Dawn Diver’s music holds a harmonically colourful aesthetic with a driving pulse. This gig features the multi-faceted talents of vocalists Deanne Krieg (Ida Lune, Whim) and Rose Blake (Blaek, Pales, Ida Lune), bass player Will Sklenars (DJ Animorph, Garrett Street Collective), and drummer Hikurangi Schaverien-Kaa (French for Rabbits, Glass Vaults).
