Gig Information

An evening of wordcore and song featuring...
DAVID EGGLETON, OTIS MACE, FREAKY MEAT.
David Eggleton is Aotearoa's own poet laureate, and a spell binding performer. He calls to the scattered tribes of contemporary New Zealand. It sounds the signal to listen closely, critically and 'in alert reverie'. His reach of references, the marriage of high and low, the grasp of popular and classical allusion, his eye both for cultural trash and epiphanic beauty make it seem as if here Shakespeare shakes down in the Pacific.

OTIS MACE ( Guitar Ace ) presents finely crafted beguiling songs and ballads, some gem-like and other worldly, some folksy and traditional, with a delivery honed by many years of live performance in venues around the globe.

FREAKY MEAT is the wordcore vehicle for the work of Shane Hollands ( President of the NZ Poetry Society ) Shane rants and howls to the jazz rock stylings of his seasoned three piece band who stretch time signatures to well beyond the normal.
( Special thanks to Brett Lupton for his photograph Peace of Mind and to Shane Hollands' graphic flare )
