The 6 track EP has been in the making since the start of 2019 and is the embodiment of FABLE’s tireless work in the scene. Personal and introspective, ‘A Place Called Home’ is a project showcasing the South Auckland local’s exceptional song-writing ability and vocal range.

‘A Place Called Home’ is a concept meant to portray the idea of young Māori and Pasifika growing up in Aotearoa. Across the 6 songs, FABLE shares intimate stories about his experience growing up. Hometown pride is on display in ‘298’, struggling with the 9-5 lifestyle is explored on ‘Money and ‘Proud Boy’ looks at putting on for the whanau. The six songs are versatile and FABLE does an exceptional job in fleshing out ideas and pushing boundaries.

Speaking on the EP FABLE explains, “This project is very personal to me and something that’s been in the works since the start of last year. With everything going on at the moment it’s been pretty hard to let go off this project and share it with the world. But I thought if this could help someone get through difficult times like it helps me get through them then I have to share it.”

The EP features a slew of producers who FABLE explains all add to the personal aspect of the project, “there are some amazing producers on the Project, 2047k, Enāvy, Akshay Raju and Silas Futura, who also features. They’re all some of my best mates and I’m grateful for all the mahi they did to make the project what it is”

With 2020 set to be a breakout year for the talented artist, there is a lot to be excited about in the future for FABLE.
