2020 has been such a hard year for all. With pent up frustration in regards to lockdown, world politics and general disscontempt with the world at present ANGRY GIRL is a bop banger with grit and angst. Punchy guitar riffs amalgamated in heavy bass lines and up front lyrics... this song shows a different side to VÏKÆ's artistry; solidifying her as an incredibly multifaceted musician.

VÏKÆ
2020 has seen this young artist already make some serious waves within the NZ music scene. Releasing her debut EP ‘FINELINES’, VÏKÆ has amassed 100s of 1000s of streams with honourable mentions in the NZ Official Hot 20 and Top 20 Charts as well as The SRN Charts. VÏKÆ just completed a nationwide tour with Christchurch artist PRINS and is working towards a series of summer shows as well as new music to be released in 2021.
THE STORY:
Described as a mix between 'industrial' and 'goth' pop VÏKÆ (Veronika Bell) performs for the first time in Auckland. With a graduate degree in music performance from The University of Otago. VÏKÆ has a plethora unassuming credits: opera singing, jazz and was the lead vocalist for band VTMNK. No stranger to adversities, her experiences collided with a series of unfortunate events ultimately cascading VÏKÆ on a trajectory towards heartbreak and self sabotage. Moving to Auckland to escape, she fell under the tutelage and mentorship of her producer Abigail Knudson (MISSY).

MISSY
A fiercely talented singer songwriter and producer; with a long list of production credits including Cecily and (of course) VÏKÆ. MISSY's production has been described as dark and cinematic bass infused pop. MISSY's songwriting is absolutely beautiful and delicately adorned by her captivating vocals. Experimental and fresh, MISSY recently supported Chelsea Jade on her NZ Tour in 2019. When on stage, MISSY comes alive. Her stage presence creates an infectious desire to dance and her musicianship shines through. MISSY really is 'one to watch'.
ISLA
Isla is a singer/songwriter at heart. Taking inspiration from Dodie, Flight of the ConChords, Kermit the Frog and her dad, she has a quirky plethora of unsuspecting influences! Isla's music is most often associated with the word quirky, exciting and fresh; all words that Isla takes in her stride. With a beautiful soprano voice who also plays the flue accompanied by a multitude of musicians who play instruments such as the cello and the violin... this is one act you don't want to miss.
