South for Winter have established themselves as a crowd favourite in their native USA and are jetting in to The Ministry of Folk to perform on the roof at Movespace with the support of Hoop.
Come along and relax with a BYO drink, enjoy the music and the views out to the Waitakeres.
Note that the gig will move inside if wet.
South For Winter are often described as “folk-blues, folk-jazz, or “Renaissance,” but have developed a sound all of their own with meticulously crafted lyrics and a captivating natural charisma. In 2019 they were voted a Most Wanted Emerging Artist at Falcon Ridge Festival and were chosen as a Top Artist of the year by BuzzMusic blog. In March 2020, the band released their debut full-length album, Luxumbra, which was recorded in Nashville TN.
Ministry of Folk's five-piece house-band Hoop will support performing a raft of new folky pop songs written during lockdown.
