The Wellington Jazz Cooperative runs an Emerging Artists Series as part of its annual programming. For this concert we are pleased to introduce Alex Trask and Baileigh Sparkes.
Saxophonist Alex Trask is proud to present a set of original tunes in an intimate setting. This performance will feature a range of new swing numbers from the sophisticated to the raucous.
Drummer Baileigh Sparkes set explores the boundaries between funk and jazz through the music of Miles Davis, Nate Smith, Victor Wooten and more!
Trask set lineup: Lockie Bennett (guitar), Seth Boy (bass), Hikurangi Schaverien-Kaa (drums), Alex Trask (saxophone).
Sparkes set Lineup: Jake Baxendale (saxophone), Gus Reece (guitar), Phoebe Johnson (bass), Baileigh Sparkes (drums).
Lovebite is an intimate venue with some seating with restricted viewing of the band.
Doors open at 6.30pm with the band starting at 7.30pm. It is recommended that you arrive early to secure a seat.
