The 22 May show features Dee Seamus Johnson and No Mans Heath
Dee - A solo set by DEE, an alternative-folk musician who also fronts their band The Sweet Somethings: Maxime Zephyr and Ryder Smith. DEE has featured on national radio and performed at several festivals across Aotearoa, including the Newtown Festival and Twisted Frequency. They are inspired by the city of artists in which they live and are captivated by the human experience.
Seamus Seamouse Johnson - Great songs, great guitar, great vocals and an energy level equivalent to a major rupture of the alpine fault.
No Mans Heath - No mans heath is a truly original songwriter. Fusing intricate finger style guitar with sorrowful intelligent vocals the songs are reminiscent of Elliott Smith, Sun Kil Moon and Nick Drake. No mans heath has been described as a ‘beautiful exercise in restraint’. Usually performing solo, this show will be the first outing of the three piece version of the band as Tom is accompanied on bass and drums by two legends of the Wellington music scene.
