Gig Information

Aum New Years Festival 2022. A family-friendly, camping arts and music festival held north of Auckland featuring music and art of all kinds.

Each year over 120 artists spanning music, visual and performing arts gather to create this wonderful creation - a three-night festival held an hour north of Auckland city in a gorgeous forest location at South Head near Parakai.

After last new year many people wondered if we could top the incredible festival experience everyone is still speaking about... Our promise to you is that in the eighth year of Aum New Year's Festival you can expect more epic good times.

Our mission each year is to create a gorgeous, sustainable, original, cutting-edge, friendly and safe environment for beautiful people and tribes to gather and celebrate as one. To explore and share in the abundance of love, music and art in this world. To be a platform for all kinds of incredible art, music, ideas, interactions and creativity.

Aum Festivals are a love story that began with this sentence: Let's create an event and feel the joy of giving and receiving. Together.

What is important to us? Inclusiveness. Kindness and love. Integrity

Music: music is sacred at Aum. Our dance-floors are our church. We aim to bring you the most soul uplifting sounds from here at home and all around the world. The most cutting edge musical art with a no compromise attitude and zero interest in copying others or playing what’s popular. Expect the fattest beats and most delicious aural vibes created by the most talented musicians possible, performed across four different zones each with its own unique vibe and theme. Expect the highest quality sound systems and visuals you will see at any festival in New Zealand. Expect the psychedelic. Expect to be moved!

*Music artist announcement coming in August.*

Art: We include as much art in all of its forms wherever possible at our events. We want to support art and artists and give colour and vibrancy to everything we do. Our festivals is not just a place to view art, it is a place to DO art! So please do.

Originality: Whilst we know almost everything that can be done in events, has been done. But we strive to bring a new approach every year and introduce fresh combinations of ideas so that every time someone supports our events they enter a new place… hear a new sound and are enveloped in a new environment. We constantly upgrade and update our productions to keep it all fresh and interesting.

Sustainability: We strive to ensure sustainability in all areas of our business. From our business model itself, to the inclusion and support of local artists, suppliers and contributors, to the creation and delivery of zero waste events where we aim to be as environmentally conscious as possible at all times.

A strong business ethic: Naturally we want to keep doing this and keep growing in ways that we can bring you bigger, brighter and better productions each time. For this to happen we need to ensure that the business end of Aum Productions is well managed and maintained.

Join us this new year and let your imagination run wild with costumes, art and wondrous campsites... if that's what inspires you. Or simply come just as you are. Follow your hearts path and unlock the door into the fantasy world of this year's festival theme: IMAGINARIAUM.
