Slomo Speedboat is the musical overflow of Jamie Mildren (Architecture In Helsinki), a cosmic levelling up his close orbiters have anticipated since he first started remixing friend's bands into trippy Space Age bliss outs. Relocating from a Brunswick full-court press to the pristine shores of Aotearoa, Mildren’s Op-Z synthesizer patch-stiche is a blend of melodic, playful, instrumental electro-pop, and it delivers more bounce to the ounce than ever before. Prepare to float through bendy waterways, swim in charmingly sideways beats, dip into electronica, bathe in a vast retro-futuristic sea, immerse in a bunch of unnecessary nautical puns, and experience some deep and catch-y sounds.

P L A S T I K P R E S S
Plastik Press was started in March 2020 in Berlin, Germany during the first of several massive lockdowns. The project was initially a way to revisit old demos and sketches and turn them into new music via sampling on a simple laptop setup. The band's music merges heavily altered digital soundscapes with field recordings and acoustic instrumentation. In late 2021 the band relocated home to Tāmaki Makaurau and started working on new music and video work.
