The sophomore project, ‘Entropy’ from self-proclaimed “experimental punk-rapper” day13n. “A song in 4 parts”, this 7 minute 25-second-long EP leans entirely into the “experimental” component of his descriptor.
day13n’s directorial debut will be a short film set to release alongside the EP. It will be premiered at an intimate viewing party, where day13n will openly discuss the creative process behind this album.
When we think of the great venues in the Auckland music scene, a few names come to mind - Whammy, Neck of the Woods, Power Station… but we would be remiss if we forgot to mention one lesser known space: Nicegoblins Collective.
Tattoo studio by day, event space by night, Nicegoblins is a hub for the Auckland arts community from across disciplines - photography, to fashion, to music.
Join us at Nicegoblins Collective - 220A Dominion Road on Sunday, November 26th at 7pm for an intimate live performance and screening, which will take attendees step by step through day13n’s own musical journey.
The performance starts at 8pm with an hour long set of day13n’s entire discography, several unreleased tracks, and a series of covers which highlight the artists who have inspired him throughout his life, before transitioning into a screening of the wordless short film, and finally a Q&A where day13n will openly discuss the creative process that lead to the development of this project.
