Join us at Moon, Newtown, for a lazy Sunday afternoon of live music featuring:
INTERLOPERS
Interlopers are a unique combo of acoustic guitar, cello and bass with a penchant for time-honoured melodic hooks and lyrical wit and wisdom. This trio of seasoned Gen-Xers reckon it’s never too late to seize their 15 minutes of fame!
DIRTY SPOONS
Dirty Spoons don’t care where it’s been. They’ll stir in country, pop, and indie rock to make songs a bit like miniskirts, you know, short enough to keep your attention but long enough to cover the essentials: death, fishing, internet dating, lost dogs, goblins in trees…
TOPDRESSER
Steve Rendle, also (barely) known as Topdresser, moved to the Wairarapa from the Capital seven years ago, with 200 unsold Butterfly P!G CDs.
Attempts to make a deal with the devil hit a snag when they met at a roundabout.
Like many in Masterton, the Devil doesn’t do roundabouts well. As is tradition locally, they stared at each other for 10 seconds before having a minor collision.
Topdresser is countryesque folk songs about milk tankers and aliens, tailor-made for ‘crash and burn’ analogies, but an entertaining sight appearing unexpectedly at tree-top level over the next ridge.
There remain plenty of CD’s to go around.
