Aotearoa born, UK residing sonic and video artist Ethersonic stages an afternoon+evening event at Photospace Gallery as part of an Antipodean tour. Ethersonic will work with local artists to stage an integrated event of sound, image and word. With artist video screenings throughout the day, a performance by Ethersonic at 3pm and then performances by all acts and a collaboration from 7pm till 10pm this low volume, gallery show is designed to drop in and out as you wish throughout the day and evening.
With a background in site specific expanded cinema and industrial-ambient sound, Ethersonic will present artist video from the UK and Norway and a set of live ambient-drone-industrial sounds with ambient projections from both sides of the planet. As part of the event local improv and experimental electronic artists will add their own interventions and a collaborative piece to the event under the name Limbic. Joining Ethersonic at Photospace Gallery are Mark Williams, Simon Sweetman and Filtersphere.
