The Wellington Mingus Ensemble is back!
This acclaimed, heavy-hitting orchestra, made up of 15 beautiful Pōneke heavyweight musicians, plays the music of and inspired by their namesake Charles Mingus.
Mingus was one of the most notable composers of the 20th century and a revered icon of Black American Music, blues, improvisation and art.
Disarmingly charismatic melodies meet dense impressionistic orchestration and deep raging blues language in a tribute to some of the most stunning music of the last century - don't miss out!
