Get ready to embark on a sonic journey like no other! Takadimi, a groundbreaking fusion of ancient Indian classical, jazz, and world music, is coming to Mussel Inn in Onekaka on June 15th, 2024!

Led by visionary Manjit Singh, Takadimi brings together an all-star lineup of musicians from New Zealand and India, including Daljeet Kaur, a trained Hindustani classical vocalist, and Alan Brown, a renowned jazz pianist. Together, they form a dynamic collective united by a shared passion for cultural collaboration and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional music.

Manjit Singh, a globally respected hybrid musician, has received widespread acclaim for his innovative arrangements and integration of Indian classical elements into modern music. With his expertise in Musicology and Jazz, he brings a unique perspective to the table.
As a pioneer in the New Zealand Indian community, Manjit has also worked as a faculty member at the University of Auckland, sharing his knowledge and passion for Indian classical music with the next generation.

Joining Manjit is Daljeet Kaur, who brings her soulful voice and Ancient Raga improvisations to the table. Alan Brown's beautiful jazz harmonic progressions provide the perfect backdrop.
