Music from speculative lands blends with Earth folk music to create a new sound with a free jazz attitude. Local altoist Alex Trask presents an eclectic set of original music, featuring songs from his recent live record Pool of Tears, as well as some new compositions which will be premiered at this concert. Featuring acclaimed trumpeter Michael Costeloe, the two horns will create a unique and raucous sound unusual for the repertoire. Combined with an exhilarating rhythm section, the overall sound is both poignant and extroverted. Come along for an evening of new and compelling music presented in an intimate setting.
