Jeff Gunn is a guitarist, music director, songwriter/producer and educator. He co- wrote and co-produced Emmanuel Jal's Juno-nominated album The Key (Gatwitch/Universal). He has contributed over 100 articles in print and film with magazines including Acoustic Guitar Magazine, Guitar World, Keyboard Magazine, Canadian Musician and National Geographic. Jeff co-wrote the song Scars with Jal and Nelly Furtado for the Warner Brothers film The Good Lie (2014).
More recently, he designed and filmed online guitar modules with JamPlay.com/TrueFire and served as a content creator in music and history for TVO.
Songs from his solo guitar albums Momentum and Sonic Tales have been featured on CandyRat Records and Fretmonkey Records platforms. He has performed and/or recorded with Emmanuel Jal, Nelly Furtado, DMC, Swizz Beatz, Billy Bragg, and opened for Tommy Emmanuel, Peter Gabriel, Janelle Monae, Bonnie Raitt, Big Sugar, Angelique Kidjo, Nico & Vinz, Xavier Rudd, Mumford & Sons and more.
He has performed at Glastonbury, Juno Songwriters’ Circle, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Ringo Starr’s Birthday Concert at Capitol Records, United Nations, Grammy Museum Concert Series in Honour of Bob Marley, and the Dalai Lama One World Concert. He has appeared on CBC, CTV Canada AM, CP24 Weekend Breakfast, Global TV, Good Day New York, Fox TV, Ted Talks, The Travel Channel (Thailand) and more.
