New Zealand Poetry Day is on the horizon, so I'm doing this evening show.
It's a culmination of work I've been doing... the nature of dream and memory, reverie... varied ancestors.
Genevieve McClean has for years explored different poetic forms. After a hiatus regarding poetry, Genevieve offers an intimate and theatrical evening in which she sings and shares poetic works that draw on voices of the past for inspiration. She is also a singer (MINK) and an actor (Toy Love, Kombi-Nation, Der Liebe Entgegen), and a director & writer and inter-disciplinary artist (Stasis, These four Walls, The Girls, Flock, The Third Order), and she has toured America as a spoken word artist and performed in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. The event will be recorded.
