Following the sold-out alternative haven that was JUNK Fest earlier this year, Junk Mail & co are here to deliver one final blow before year-end with HOLLYWEEN; A Halloween celebration at Tāmaki Makaurau’s finest cinema The Hollywood Avondale on Friday 1st November.
Headlined by Otepoti’s own Night Lunch in what will be their first show in the big smoke in many moons - fresh off the release of their fiery EP ‘Measure Twice, Cut Once’ which features the SRN-chart topping banger ‘1 MILLION PINES’.
Joined by local favourites and self-proclaimed Halloween Authority Grecco Romank, one of three finalists for the Aotearoa Music Awards coveted Te Manu Taki Whanokē o te Tau Best Alternative Act in 2024.
Also flying in from out of town we have members of recent shoegaze sensation Feshh; Lilith and Shay plus Jude Savage of Bleeding Star fame bring us the Tāmaki Makaurau debut of Eveline Breaker - the solo noise-pop project of Lilith Ercolano that combines elements of sparkly pop bliss, crushing walls of guitar noise, 8-bit digital soundscapes and yearnful lesbianism.
girls factory is the semi-secret “EDM” side project of Eveline Breaker. It is terribly unserious, overstimulating, bright, distorted and a lot of fun (She hopes).
Finally, appearing at HOLLYWEEN are SmokeFree Rockquest finalists and four-piece hard-rock band BUZZ, who’ve become a mainstay in Tāmaki Makaurau’s all-ages gig scene since their formation in 2022.
