Dan Aikido has been a secret weapon within Wellington’s radio, club and dance party culture since the 1990’s.
With well honed and eclectic taste geared towards the dancefloor, his sets appeal to music heads, dancers and party people alike.
As part of The Jewel School Radio Show his annual Aotearoa NZ Music Mixes have become time capsules which showcase the freshest cuts from established, up and coming and under the radar kiwi producers and artists.
Having supported top notch international DJs in Aotearoa as well as playing abroad, Dan Aikido is renowned for his ability to turn the party on with classic jams and special blends laced with underground bangers that are yet to blow up.
With releases on Japanese labels Black Belt and Wonderful Noise, and a fresh vinyl offering on new Berlin label Many Hands, Dan Aikido continues to quietly push the quality over quantity.
