Gate opens 2.30pm Music Starts 3pm;- Wrap up your weekend with some soulful acoustic music featuring four of New Zealand’s finest musicians:
Nate Torvik – A magnetic force on the mandolin, Nate plays one of the rarest and most beautiful instruments in the country — a vintage Gibson F5 — and brings it to life with fiery skill & playful creativity.
Jo Moir – A violinist who plays like she’s painting in vivid colour, Jo’s fiddle soars with brightness, heart, and a hint of mischief. Whether weaving lyrical Celtic lines or adding bold harmonies to Americana grooves, her sound is uplifting and unforgettable. Jo is also known for her work with Hobnail and her lush vocals.
Steve Hemmens – The steady heartbeat of the session, Steve’s double bass playing brings warmth, swing, and a gentle pulse that grounds the group. With roots in blues and folk—and decades of collaboration with greats like Bill Lake—his sound is as rich and earthy as aged wood.
Clayton Taylor – With rhythm in his bones and storytelling in his voice, Clayton holds it all together. His deep guitar grooves and soulful vocals draw you in and keep you there—whether it’s a Dylan ballad or a back porch jam.
Experience the magic as these artists come together for an intimate jam session, weaving together Americana, folk, and Celtic traditions.
It’s more than a jam session—it’s a musical conversation you won’t want to miss.
