After years in the making, Prosa are finally ready to present their first single to the world and are celebrating its release with a wonderful showcase of local music at Nice Goblins Collective on Dominion Road. Led by Florian Bell on vocals/guitar and joined by Elle Purcell (bass) and Georgia Holden (drums), Prosa have perfected their prog punk sound with endless practices, ready to attack the ears, hearts and sensibilities of willing audiences.
The single Decline, the first from Prosa’s upcoming debut EP recorded by Martin Philipps of Repairs, packs a punch desperately needed on the local music scene with a positive post-punk/post-hardcore sound. Emphasising the need for enjoyment and community despite the world falling apart, the song couldn’t be more fitting to the current state of Aotearoa and the world’s affairs.
Joined by For The Girl Who Have Everything, fresh off the release of their fantastic new album Categorical and Groopchat, who have stirred up the local scene with their 90s inspired sound, this will be a fantastic night of alternative punk!
