Waiheke legends Best Left Bent return after a seven year hiatus to raise hell with new kids on the chopping block - Trauma Party.
Best Left Bent sees Gerry Moran (aka Zinc Alloy) return from his country sojourn as Appaloosa Wille. Jamie Stone (aka Zebra Fight) is back on lead bass and new drummer Aussie Paul provides the rattle. Their brand of primal swagger is always a memorable and unpredictable spectacle.
Trauma Party are a post punk collective proving that even in paradise the alchemy of noise, rebellion and the stench of full fisted catharsis can still ring true. Consisting of frontman Buddy Olsen, veteran guitarist Solomon Cole ( Space Waltz, The Solomon Cole Band) , long term punk underground drummer Kirsty Swanney ( Glass Cell) and bassist Ron Kramer, the quartet formed over a show opening for UK electro goth mainstays Attrition (UK) at the Tuning Fork this year under another band. Having decided that their collective influences, and ‘extremely nuanced personalities’ made for a great new band, Trauma Party was forged.
