Adam Hattaway plays an intimate solo show at Freida Margolis, joined by Elmore Jones.
Spanning seven years of songwriting, the set will feature highlights from Hattaway’s diverse catalogue, from the indie grit of his debut, to the country-soul of Rooster, and the stripped-back ballads of High Horse. He’ll also share songs from his upcoming album Hot Variety, out September 5.
Recorded to tape, Hot Variety is a fully analog affair. Hattaway reunites with his band The Haunters, but with an entirely different approach. The arrangements are stripped back, the sound is direct and unadorned, the playing is looser and captures the immediacy of the moment.
