Wellington rock band This Silent Divide celebrate the release of their new EP with a show at Moon in Newtown with locals Kaletta and Adult Friends in support.
This Silent Divide mix driving drums, wall-of-sound guitars and melodic overtones to create catchy, high-energy songs. The band released their single City Lights in July, with Loud Enough? Magazine labelling it a lively piece of modern rock with a twist of punk attitude. A gritty, energetic music video accompanied the release of City Lights, filmed in Wellington's Eastern Suburbs and featuring fellow musicians and fans.
Following time in the studio in early 2025, again working with local producer Toby Lloyd at Tiny Triumph Recordings, the band has played a range of live shows. Upcoming single 'Rockets' is out in September, ahead of the release of their new 4-song EP in October.
In 2024 the band released single 'In This World' which Flash-Trax labelled “an absolute belter of a track” and 2023 singles 'Outside', 'Beautiful Creature' and 'Morning', received positive reviews and radio play in New Zealand, the US & UK, taking the band's music to a wider audience.

Kaletta
Kaletta is a high-energy band that blends Latin rhythms with punk rock and ska influences, creating a unique sound that's infectious and danceable.
Kaletta's been making waves on the live scene playing the Island Bay Festival, embarking on a tour of the top of the South, and reaching the national finals of the Battle of the Bands competition twice. The band is currently working on new material and a music video.The band's momentum is building and they're grateful for the support of their fans and the music community.
Adult Friend
Adult Friends are a Wellington-based guitar-centric, post-punk/post rock act, inspired by bands like At The Drive In, Failure, and The Cure. 2025 has seen the band release their album Find Me In The Inferno, along with a music video for single 'Greyhounds'. Regulars on the local scene, the band recently supported Toronto punks Pup at their Wellington show.
