On the heels of their sold-out Lōemis festival show ATOMS, genre-fluid sonic explorers The Temple hit the Jazz Fest at Meow, exploring faraway soundworlds and bringing back only their most hallucinogenic discoveries.
Take an hour to ditch the standard forms, and swim with The Temple in an ocean of strange vibrations.
The Temple is a trio composed of producer Jack Woodbury, drummer/percussionist Nathan Carter (aka Alter Natural), and saxophonist Peter Liley, based in Pōneke. The Temple’s broad palette of influences reaches into minimalism, electronica, ambient, jazz, funk, doom metal, new age, sound art, and jungle, creating a beguiling, kaleidoscopic sound. Their shows explore vast musical territories, and every performance is a ritual devoted to the present moment.
