Gig Information

Barrytown is about to come alive like never before!

On Saturday, November 8th, 2025, Pīwakawaka Productions proudly presents Barryfest, a multi-genre music festival set to transform the Barrytown Settlers Hall into the ultimate celebration of sound, community, and good times.

The Lineup

Barryfest is bringing together an incredible mix of talent, showcasing some of the region’s most exciting bands:

Green Scenery – Drawing inspiration from the wild West Coast, their songs are originals that tell it like it is — moments from everyday life, tall tales from the road, and the kind of stories that only make sense if you’ve lived them. No two shows are the same, with improv grooves, changing of instruments and free-flowing energy turning each performance into a shared experience between the band and the crowd.

The Grave Concerns – The Grave Concerns are a four-piece, indie rock combo, from Christchurch, with members from Sneaky Feelings and the Strange Loves, The Triffids (NZ) and Sugar Loaf. Fueled by late-night jam sessions, a love of loud guitars, and the stories we’ve picked up along the way, The Grave Concerns bring original songs to the stage that are as heartfelt as they are high-energy. Expect catchy riffs, honest lyrics, and a good dose of fun

Kani Vibez – KVH (Kani Vibez Hard) bring a smooth, easy-going reggae sound born out of Māwhera. Their single Diamond in the Rough shows off their silky saxaphone and laid-back grooves, and with a brand new album on the way, you can expect to hear some fresh tunes mixed in with crowd favourites. Relaxed but engaging, KVH is the band where you'd expect the crowd to be passing something to your left

Pool House – Indie-rock royalty, Pool House, don’t often travel south of the Avon River - but when they do it sure is for a good reason. Their music blends vintage rock with surf and pop influences, while recent singles like “Draw the Line” and “Another Day” have charted nationally and built buzz around their sophomore EP.

Food & Drinks

To keep you fueled throughout the night, there will be a food truck serving up local favorites and a cash bar to quench your thirst. Whether you’re grabbing a bite with mates or raising a glass to the music, the festival vibes will be flowing all night long.
