Gig Information

Artists For Others are honoured to announce our next event - Artists For Congo - to raise funds for HDE Hope for Development and Empowerment, featuring performances from Mazbou Q, Jujulipps, and more.

*Content Warning - Sexual Violence*

HDE are a community of mothers and fathers united by experiences with trauma. They are dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual violence. Their mission extends to embracing children born as a result of sexual violence. They provide comprehensive support through counselling, as well as empowering beneficiaries by teaching them diverse skills to help them integrate into society.

Our goal at Artists For Others is to raise $40,000 for HDE to assist them in building a school, hospital, and other infrastructure for the communities they are engaged with in Congo.

DRC has been called the rape capital of the world. Over 45% of the 10,000+ rapes reported in January and February 2025 were committed against children. This sexual violence is not perpetrated by isolated individuals, it is widespread and systemic. The exploitation for natural resources, and calculated destabilisation of the region perpetrated by the US empire are direct causes of the violence.

Artists For Congo will be a celebration of the resilience of the Congolese people, and a night where we can raise awareness of an oft disregarded crisis, and discuss these confronting topics. As well as live music in Double Whammy, and a market in Public Bar, Artists For Congo will feature a speech from Mama Bahati, the founder of HDE, where she will discuss her own story, and the work her organisation is focused on.

100% of ticket sales donated. Doors for the market in Public Bar will open at 6:30. Doors for the live music in Double Whammy will open at 8. Entry to the market is free. Entry to the live music is ticketed.
