Bryn van Vliet is a Pōneke-based multidisciplinary artist, best known for his work as a saxophonist, his tenure with TOI, and as the creator of the disco collective Boogie Wonderland and the jazz orchestra Brynzilian Big Band. Bryn is a vibrant and dedicated performer who is deeply woven into the Wellington and wider Aotearoa music scene.
An established songwriter and vocalist, Bryn’s songs capture the melancholy of life, with a voice that delivers each lyric with honesty and transparency.
This special performance celebrates the release of his new single, Wherever You Are — a poignant reflection on the cycle of heartbreak, heartache, and the naivety of a former life. It is the first track to be released from his upcoming album and serves as a long-awaited follow-up to his self-titled EP, released in 2019.
Joining Bryn on stage are Callum Allardice (guitar), Leonardo Coghini (keys), Scott Maynard (double/electric bass), and Olivia Campion (drums). Opening the evening is the one and only Iris Little.
